Positioning with GNSS: How Does the Receiver Know Your Position

There are many ways to find your position on Earth. Some are more accurate, some are less accurate. The easiest way to find your location is by using the global navigation satellite system or GNSS. You can use your smartphone, handheld GPS unit or GNSS receiver to do that. But how do these gadgets find a particular point where you stand at the moment? 

In this video, we explained the basics of GNSS positioning. There are satellites out there in space, and each of them has its own orbit. Every satellite transmits the signal which includes its exact position at a particular moment of time. The receiver accepts this data and uses it to determine its position.
