Reach receivers now have built-in RTK corrections

Meet Emlid Corrections: professional RTK corrections built into your Reach. Once activated in Emlid Flow, Emlid Corrections deliver centimeter-level accuracy with your Reach out of the box—no base station or third-party NTRIP service to configure.

Powered by the Point One Navigation network, the new service ensures consistent 1-2 centimeter accuracy over the internet. And the best part: your first year of Emlid Corrections is free.

Why getting RTK corrections has always been a challenge

For centimeter-accurate work, you’ve always had a few ways to get RTK corrections:

  • Set up your own base station, then carry it from site to site.
  • Connect to a public CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station) and manage NTRIP credentials and network accounts while moving to different sites.

None of this means anyone’s doing it wrong—it’s what centimeter accuracy has always required. Emlid Corrections removes that step.

The correction source is already in the receiver, so there’s nothing to set up or manage.

How Emlid Corrections secure the best accuracy and fastest setup possible

Built into your Reach and Emlid Flow

Emlid Corrections is built into the Reach receivers and the Emlid Flow app. There’s no extra hardware to buy and no third-party account to open.

It works with the field-ready Reach lineup: RX, RX2, RS2/RS2+, RS3, RS4, and RS4 Pro

Each license is tied to one device, and it’s available for the receivers you already own as well as those you buy later.

For teams running several receivers, the per-device license keeps budgeting simple: one predictable cost per receiver, no shared accounts or overages, and the same behavior whether the job is down the road or across the border.

Zero setup, just open Emlid Flow

Connect your receiver and open Emlid Flow on your phone. Make sure you’re online, then select Emlid Corrections as your correction source.

The receiver connects to the network and gets a FIX solution in seconds. That’s the whole setup: no complicated configuration, no credentials to manage.

Where the 1–2 cm accuracy comes from

Traditional RTK needs a physical base station near you to deliver corrections. The further your rover moves from that base, the more your accuracy drifts. Emlid Corrections works differently.

It uses a VRS (virtual reference station) approach: the network creates a virtual base at your location from a grid of real reference stations, so your solution quality holds steady across the whole coverage area.

Point One Navigation builds, owns, and monitors its reference stations daily. Spaced under 40 km apart across covered regions, they hold accuracy to 1–2 cm (sub-inch) horizontal and vertical with fast convergence.

Where Emlid Corrections is available

Emlid Corrections works in the US, the UK, much of continental Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. And the network keeps growing as the Point One network expands. A single license works across all covered regions.

Not sure if Emlid Corrections fits your workflows?

Here’s how the three common correction sources compare, so you can match the source to the work.

Correction sourceBest forWhy it worksKeep in mind
Your own Reach baseRemote and off-grid jobsWorks anywhere, even with no internet; 1–2 cm over NTRIP or radio linkA one-time cost. You set up and carry the base
Local CORS / RTK NetworkLocal urban projects inside a strong network footprintNo hardware to buy; free or low-cost, depending on the country or stateNeeds a cellular or internet connection. Accuracy drops as you move away from the nearest station. You need separate networks when working across states or countries
Emlid CorrectionsUrban and multi-site projects or projects across multiple regions1–2 cm accuracy with zero hardware setup; one license across every covered regionNeeds a cellular or internet connection and network coverage

A base station still wins when you need full independence from internet coverage, or for a permanent setup.

Emlid Corrections is the better fit when you work in urban areas, move between sites, work across regions, or want to skip base station logistics.

Real-world applications: corrections for surveying, construction, drones, and more

Emlid Corrections fits a wide range of workflows for land surveyors, GIS specialists, construction crews, agriculture teams, and UAV operators.

Common scenarios where Emlid Corrections is a go-to solution:

  • Sites with a stable cellular coverage and with no local base station. With Emlid Corrections, you can just power on your Reach and start working with centimeter accuracy.
  • Multi-rover workflows, where every rover pulls corrections from the same network on its own license, with no base to share.
  • Mobile mapping, where you’re moving continuously, and a fixed base would only hold you back.

Frequently asked questions

Which Reach receivers support Emlid Corrections?

Reach RX, RX2, RS2/RS2+, RS3, RS4, and RS4 Pro. All of them include a free first year. RS+ and M2 are not supported.

Do existing Emlid users get the free year, too?

Yes. The free year applies to receivers you already own, not just new purchases. Activate it in Emlid Flow, and the year begins.

Is my country covered?

Emlid Corrections is available across the US, the UK, much of continental Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, and coverage is expanding. It isn’t uniform within those regions, so check your exact location on the coverage map before you rely on it.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. Corrections come over the internet, so your phone needs to be online while you work. A standard mobile data connection is enough.

Do I still need a base station?

In covered areas, no—Emlid Corrections replaces it. A base station still makes sense for off-grid work with no internet, or for permanent and semi-permanent setups. You can switch between Emlid Corrections, radio, and regular NTRIP anytime in Emlid Flow.

What happens after the free year?

You can extend with a 3-year top-up ($1,199), which locks in the best annual rate of $299, or a 1-year top-up ($699, excl). There’s no automatic charge—continuing is your choice.

Can I move a license to another device?

No. Each license is tied to one device serial number. If you run several receivers, each needs its own license.

What’s the refund policy?

If the service doesn’t suit you, request a refund within two months of purchase. Your free first year stays active either way.
